The first thing to watch is the hood: a small change in lighting brings out a gold flash. The film then moves between Germania Mint’s close-ups and the NumisTrends auction camera so you can compare the same design landmarks.

The NumisTrends auction footage was recorded October 15–16, 2026, and that auction has ended. Use this close-up to compare the design details and specifications.

Wait... this is silver? Look at that gold flash on her hood. That's a yellow-gold finish over silver. Now... watch what happens when the light moves. Now... here it is under our auction camera. Compare the gold on the hood and skirt with the mint close-up. Same landmarks, different lighting. Gorgeous box. I love the back actually. I like the eagle on the back. Open it up... Certificate on one side, the actual silver piece on the other. This is Germania Mint's 2025 Herbalist Ritual. Look right there, beside her feet. That's Ratatosk, a messenger from the story of Yggdrasil. Flip it over. See the two big birds around the spiral? Now... look up on the left. That smaller double-headed eagle is Germania Mint's emblem. It's a different detail from the huge eagle printed on the box. 2025 at the top. One ounce, Ag 999.9 on the right. Five mark on the left. The certificate ties it together... Herbalist Ritual, 40 millimeters, and an edition of a thousand pieces. On the reverse, find the small eagle and spiral again. So... what caught your eye: that tiny squirrel, the gold details, or the eagle? Tell me below, and follow NumisTrends for the next close-up.

In this guide 4 sections + questions & sources

Read the finish and the metal separately

For this exact Ritual edition, the mint lists one ounce of silver, 999.9 Ag purity and a 40-millimetre diameter. Its finishing specification identifies yellow gold, Antique Finish and numbering. Those details distinguish the issue from a plain silver version or another weight in the series.

The gold flash is how the treated surface catches the light. It is not a measurement of gold content. The mint does not publish a gold weight or coating thickness on that page. Identify the listed finish without assigning an unverified gold content to the piece.

Follow three landmarks

Start beside the figure’s feet. The mint’s design story identifies the squirrel as Ratatosk, the mythological messenger associated with Yggdrasil.

On the reverse, follow the film’s pointer to the small double-headed eagle. Keep that mint emblem separate from the larger decorative birds and the eagle printed on the presentation packaging. Matching specific locations is more useful than remembering “there was an eagle.”

Keep the certificate with the exact piece

Pause on the year, weight, purity marking and denomination, then compare them with the certificate and the maker’s exact issue page. The Ritual page lists a capsule, certificate and blisterpack. The presentation shown in an auction is not a guarantee of what a different listing includes.

For your notes, record both sides, the finish, any visible number, and the accompanying packaging. Ask about unclear details. A certificate or familiar design does not, by itself, authenticate an unknown object.

Which detail would you check next?

Choose the squirrel, the changing gold details or the small eagle, then revisit that moment in the player. Share the detail that caught your eye on the exact YouTube feature. For a future auction, use the current NumisTrends schedule rather than the dates in this recording.
