Information you choose to provide
We may receive your email when you request a drop reminder or join the NumisTrends list; your name, contact method, and collection details when you request a review; and business information when you apply for dealer access or introduce a possible product, release, collection, or media opportunity.
Optional private collection photographs
If direct photo uploads are offered after you save a collection-review request, you may add up to four JPEG, PNG or WebP photographs within the 30-minute upload session. We decode and resize the photos into review copies and remove embedded location metadata; do not include addresses, identity documents, account numbers or other people in the visible image. Keep your original files. These private copies are not published as listing images, sent as email attachments, or included in analytics. Access is limited to the authorized NumisTrends review desk.
Review-photo access expires 30 days after upload. Expired copies and interrupted uploads are removed during maintenance; deletion may not occur at the exact expiration time. Request and consent records are retained separately under the general retention policy below. During the upload session you can remove your copies on the confirmation page; afterward use the private contact form and your request reference. Hosting-provider backups and technical logs follow the provider's retention practices.
Limited site activity
With updated analytics permission, NumisTrends records product views and clicks to marketplaces, shows, and social channels using a random browser identifier and referring website. We do not record form entries, email addresses, phone numbers, passwords, or full IP addresses in these events. Hosting and security providers may create ordinary technical logs.
Optional Google Analytics
Google Analytics is off until you choose “Allow analytics.” If allowed, it measures public page views using cookies and ordinary device, browser, and network information. NumisTrends sends the page path without query strings, does not send form entries or a user ID, and excludes private operations and dealer-account pages. Advertising features and Google Signals are disabled. You can reopen “Privacy choices” at any time to withdraw permission and clear NumisTrends analytics cookies from this browser.
With analytics permission, we also pass a limited set of public campaign labels from our own social links, such as the platform and published lesson. We do not pass arbitrary link parameters, email addresses, private return links, or calculator inputs.
The updated analytics choice also permits shopping and show-link measurement. An earlier analytics choice does not automatically enable it. These events record a destination click, not a purchase, attendance, or a new follower. Withdrawing permission stops these events and removes the NumisTrends browser identifier.
Coin Quest and course saves
Hunt answers, scores, reviewed lessons, and course assessment progress are saved locally in your browser. If you choose to save online, we store your email and learning progress and give you a private return link. Your certificate name is not included. Anyone with that link can open and update the save, so keep it private. Online access expires 90 days after the last save. We retain the save and contact record under our general retention policy; you may request deletion through the private contact form. An email address alone cannot retrieve a save. Saving does not send an email or enroll you in updates; optional updates are a separate choice requiring email confirmation.
Your browser watchlist
The watchlist is stored locally in your browser. NumisTrends does not upload the saved-product list or use it to create a public profile. Clearing site data or changing devices may remove it.
Optional calculator measurement
Choosing “Allow analytics” in the updated dialog also permits limited calculator-use and sharing events. An earlier page-view-only choice does not automatically enable these events; you can review the choice through “Privacy choices.” We send only a fixed calculator identifier, a use/share action, and the public page path—not the selected coin, quantity, metal price, calculated amount, shared text, or query string. Google still uses its ordinary consented analytics cookies. A native share event records the browser handoff, not proof that another person received or opened it. A copied link is counted only when the browser reports a successful copy. Denying analytics disables these events.
Email preferences and consent
Retail and wholesale updates are separate choices. A signup remains pending until you use the confirmation link. We keep the selected list, interests, source, disclosure version, and timestamps needed to honor the request and prove the preference. An order, support request, wholesale application, collection request, or ordinary email does not by itself enroll you in marketing.
How we use information
- Deliver requested confirmations, welcome messages, reminders, and collector or wholesale updates.
- Acknowledge and respond to collection-review, dealer-access, order, privacy, and partner-introduction requests.
- Understand which products, guides, and channels are useful.
- Protect the site, prevent abuse, maintain email suppressions, and meet legal obligations.
When information is shared
We use service providers for hosting, data storage, site operations, email delivery, and—only when you allow it—Google Analytics measurement. They receive only the information reasonably needed for that service. When you continue to eBay, Whatnot, or another linked service, that service receives information under its own policy. We may disclose information when legally required or to protect rights and safety. We do not sell personal information.
Retention and choices
We retain information only as reasonably needed for the requested service, business records, security, consent history, suppression of unwanted email, or legal obligations. Every marketing message includes an unsubscribe route. An unsubscribe, complaint, or hard bounce suppresses future marketing, while necessary order, application, support, privacy, or security messages may continue. You may also ask to access, correct, or delete information through the private contact form.
Security, children, and changes
We use reasonable safeguards and limit access to personal information. No online system is risk-free. The site is not directed to children under 13. We will post material policy changes here with a new review date.

Use the NumisTrends contact form, choose “Privacy request,” and include enough detail to identify the relevant record. The request routes privately without displaying an email address.
